LOS ANGELES COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT NOW RECRUITING FOR THE CIVIL GRAND JURY

The Los Angeles County Superior Court is now actively recruiting for the Civil Grand Jury 2005-2006. The Court is currently seeking qualified applicants who may be interested in volunteering for the Civil Grand Jury. This body acts as a "watch-dog" for various government agencies including county, city, and special district agencies. As part of its community outreach, the Court is specifically extending this invitation to members of the St. Mel parish.

The Court is seeking qualified applicants to volunteer for a year of service starting July 2005. The deadline for submitting the application is November 15, 2004.

The qualifications are: must be a citizen of the United States, at least 18 years of age, a resident of Los Angeles County for at least one year, and of ordinary intelligence and good character. The position involves a time commitment of 30-40 hours per week.
